Chapter Three No, my room!

Partly because she had to wait for her brothers and partly because she thought that the house they were moving into was an ugly house. She hoped the inside of the house was pretty because when she made friends they wouldn't just say that the outside of the house was ugly but that after that they would say that the inside was pretty. When Caroline went inside her heart sank. The inside was horrible with the paint all chipped, the bedrooms a mess, and the kitchen was painted an ugly color. Caroline dashed from room to room to room, as she stared in horror at the rooms. They were all messy and dirty!

When she finally reached a room that seemed like heaven then Andrew pushed her out of the way and said, "This is my room!"

"No," yelled Caroline back, its my room!"

They fought and fought until their mother came into the room and said, "Your father and I have discussed this and I would think that you would want to find out who gets it. Right?"

"Yes!" The children cried.

"All right, but I won't find you fighting like that again, right?"

Yes mother. Promised the children.

"It's going to the baby."

"Aw mom does it have to be Simon?" Caroline whined.

"Yes it does. Your father and I have already decided. And anyway he is the youngest so he gets the first room because he needs the room."

"And why does he need the room? demanded Andrew. There are other rooms he can have."

"Yes. And there are other rooms you and Caroline can have."

With that she left the room. Caroline and Andrew stared after her. They couldn't believe it! The first room to the baby! Caroline thought that if Andrew hadn't pushed her away from the room so that he could have it then she would have gotten it. Andrew thought that if Caroline had went away and found another room then it could of been his. Andrew stormed out of the room wondering if the house had more rooms so that he could find another room that looked really nice. Caroline walked on after him looking at the other rooms to she if they looked like the room Simon got. Then she saw another room. It almost looked like heaven. Caroline then went into the room so no one could take it from her.

When her father came in the room then he said; "Caroline that's Andrew's room.

"But-but" said Caroline barely being able to hide her tears "I was here first."

"No" said her father "You weren't. Andrew was. He's getting his suitcase from the car. You can find another room."

"What!" cried Caroline.

Chapter Two Ugly House

Finally they were there! The car halted to a stop. Caroline flew out of the car. No longer were they in Worcester, MA. They were in Lexington, KY! Before her parents could stop her, she ran up and down until she found her favorite house. Then she stopped in front of it and shouted:
"This one! Were moving into this one!"
"No, Caroline, this house!" Dad pointed to an ugly house. (Well, at least Caroline thought so.)
"But dad," Caroline cried. "Thats an ugly house!"
"Well, you will have to get used to it." said Dad.
"Besides," said Mom, "you have to wait for your brothers." Andrew and Simon were Caroline's brothers. Andrew was 12, and Simon was only 4 months old. They had been very quiet in the car with Andrew listening to music on his Mp-3 player and Simon asleep, but Caroline had been complaining all the way there. Caroline groaned.
